There is also work on communicating dynamic, two-dimensional computer information, such as that encountered in a desktop window system, through tactile means. This method uses a mouse with tactile pads on the buttons such that features beneath the computer cursor are translated to Braille and communicated to the fingers as the cursor passes over them.
