Gya Mon has just arrived at Steve's machine shop at
FermiLab,
making his entrance in his usual style.
"Stephen," He says, smiling broadly, "Thank you for agreeing to see
me." His eyes are drawn to the
tele-tactile pad in the demonstration
area. "Ah, here it is!"
"So," Steve replies, "You have some interest in
tactile computing
access?"
"Oh, no," Gya Mon shakes his head, "It's much more than that. You
should have seen what I saw in San Francisco -- it was true sensual
connection. Will you let me test some of these in
connection with my on-line course of study?"
Steve replies coolly, "Well, the Laboratory will want to see some
return on its investment in all of my
manufacturing equipment."
"Yes, yes," Gya Mon brushes him off, "Money is no object. I simply
must have these. So, are we in agreement?"
Steve replies, "I can have my management draw up a contract."
"Thank you," Gya Mon says with his too-wide, inscrutable smile,
"I feel privileged to have the first exclusive sales of your fascinating
device."
